 Just wanted to let you all know that Meijer has a great ad this week and to make it even better they have a Friday and Saturday meat  and seafood sale.  To sweetin' the deals even more they apparently had some computer problems back in February, so they are making it up to us by having a $10 off of $50 Coupon!  Wow!  You could get 55 items for $40 dollars That brings the 10 for 10 items down to 73 cents per item! That is amazing!!!
Just remember the 73 cents per item would only apply to the first 55 10 for 10 items--only one coupon allowed per transaction. But you sure could go back again! Lol!

Alexandria residents are encouraged to attend to have your questions answered and to share your input. This meeting will be held at the Community Center to accommodate as many people as possible.

April 17, 18, 19 – 2015 Spring CC Clean Up - Friday & Saturday 8am-5pm, Sunday 8am-4pm. Locations: Pendery Park, Transportation Center and Campbell County Police Station. ONLY Trash & Debris will be accepted at Pendery Park and the Campbell County Police Station. Transportation Center will accept all items. NO PAINT, OIL, ANTIFREEZE! This week we have 3 stock up alerts!  This one is at Alexandria County Market!  They have family packs of Sirloin end cut porkchops for just..........$1.29 per pound!
This is a great deal so be sure to pick up your family pack.  Smaller packs are $1.59 per pound.  If you don't think you need a pack that large, just remember you can separate into your meal sized freezer bags and freeze.  Hope you enjoy the savings!

A Few Snow Reminders From The Public Works Department!

Here are some snow related tips from our Public Works Department:

 

   When snow is predicted and you have a driveway, PLEASE USE IT…keeping cars off the street so they can clear a bigger path means they can pile snow in yards, not on your car. It is very helpful to you and the crew to have the cars off the street so a wider path can be created. It also is safer for your car, and the City crew for avoiding accidents.

When snow is plowed, some will usually end up in your driveway and yard…it’s either that, or the street doesn’t get plowed. The snow has to go somewhere!

Mailboxes…again, the snow is pushed to the side of the street and may block your mailbox. It is your responsibility to clear the snow around your mailbox so they will deliver mail.  

• We are asked why salt hasn’t been put down during snow storms? If the temperature is below 25 degrees, salt does not work and is thus wasteful.

Your patience and understanding are appreciated during Winter weather conditions!  Be safe Alexandria!

This week the stock up alert is at Meijer!

    Half pork loins  are on sale for $1.69 per pound!!  This is an awesome price.  you can pick up several and cut in half or thirds, freeze and have plenty meat for a meal on the cheap.  Cook with veggies in a crockpot, cook in crock pot, slice, pull apart and add BBQ sauce for delicious pulled pork BBQ, or slice and fry for wonderful pork chops!  The ideas are endless!! 
                                          

   Meijer also has the Meijer brand Tuna 2/$1.  This is about as good as it gets anymore!  Stock up now for tuna casseroles and tuna salad when the weather warms up.
